The Grandes Traversées du Jura are accessible at many points by the public transport network.

The timetables of the main lines:

Useful links to find your train: In France: Yes SNCF / In Switzerland: SBB

Traveling by train with your bike:

The trip between Montbéliard and Culoz can be done by TER with your bike. However, online booking on the SNCF sites is not the easiest. We recommend going through specific TER sites such as www.ter.sncf.com/bourgogne-franche-comte and perform the train search by unchecking the “high-speed train” option. TER journeys are displayed and if the purchase of tickets is not available (a bug persists in the SNCF tool), it is possible to reserve each train separately for online payment or to reserve by telephone, on the SNCF app or at the counter.

Local shuttles:

The resort of Métabief offers during the holidays a shuttle linking the six villages of the resort (Rochejean - Les Longevilles - Métabief - Les Hôpitaux Neufs et Vieux - Jougne). More information here: Metabief Tourist Office

The resort of Les Rousses offers shuttles in season which connect the 4 villages of the resort (Bois d'Amont - Les Rousses - Prémanon - Lamoura). Very useful to shorten a stage or in case of lack of snow along the Orbe or on the Platelet, you will find the timetables on the site by clicking here: Les Rousses Tourist Office
