"Comfort" crossing for beginners or occasional mountain bikers
The electric mountain bike allows you to hike while reducing the effort but also to accompany someone more sporty who is on a traditional mountain bike. We can therefore make longer journeys with more gradients, more quickly and in great physical comfort, but without removing the exercise! the different levels of assistance selectable on the handlebars allow you to find the right balance between muscular effort, battery life and power of the electric assistance.
Located on the marked and developed GTJ route, this hike is chosen on a portion where the relief lends itself perfectly to the discovery of hiking. This continues in the evening in comfortable accommodation (2 levels of comfort to choose from)
Halfway through, a day around Chapelle des Bois, a charming village full of serenity and greenery, which allows you to choose your program: a little rest, a few visits (ecomuseum, etc.). A wild swim in the nearby lake, or even mountain biking, walking on the many possible loops.
In short, a superb natural setting, for a “comfortable” crossing, where everyone takes pleasure where they want… and there is a choice!
REGISTRATION
In case of registration less than 8 days before departure: supplement of 30 € per file.

- Return shuttle at the end of the hike (or reverse at the start of the hike) Giron – Les Cernets (duration 2 hours): €30 per trip
- Station transfer package at the start and end of the hike: 95 € (Pontarlier pick-up, Bellegarde drop-off in Valserine), rate increased by 30% on Sundays, public holidays or night rate

- eMTB rental : 240 € including 1 VTTAE + 1 helmet + 1 small repair kit for 5 days. Please provide us with weight and height when booking. The reverse shuttle at the start of the hike is compulsory if there is rental, for the management of VTTAE.

LUGGAGE CARRIAGE
Baggage transported by vehicle. We ask you to have only one piece of luggage per person, not too bulky, the weight of which does not exceed 15 kg. You only carry a bag with your belongings for the day. We also transport your mechanical bags according to our conditions detailed in your road book (1 mechanical bag for 4 people).

1 Day: Welcome to Cernets (Switzerland) from 17 h. You will be lent a map holder with 1 set of IGN 1/25000th maps on which the route is highlighted.

Day 2: Les Cernets – Rochejean
After reaching Fort du Larmont, the Château de Joux will soon be in sight, superbly erected on its rocky outcrop. It is then a technical and rugged path that leads to Mt d'Or where a mountain bike chairlift provides access to a beautiful variant passing through the summit before plunging into Rochejean.

3 Day: Rochejean – Chapelle-des-Bois
Pleasant course in pre-woods crossing the entire Val de Mouthe passing by the source of the Doubs. A very panoramic path then leads to Chapelle des Bois via Chaux Neuve and the heights of Foncine.

4 Day: Loop on Chapelle-des-Bois
The mountain village of Chapelle des Bois is a very natural end of the world! It offers a wide variety of mountain biking and hiking circuits, but also swimming in the lake, or visits (within a perimeter of a few kilometers: distillery, ecomuseum, polar dog park). On the comfort accommodation option, you can take advantage of the relaxation area in the gîte, with sauna and hammam (with supplement) and the gym... It's up to you!

5 Day: Chapelle-des-Bois – Le Manon
After skirting the Lacs des Mortes, it is a long climb in the forest of Risoux that you cross on these large silent tracks (white paths) to lead downhill to the resort of Les Rousses. Nice technical passage to reach the Bief de la Chaille before going up to Prémanon and the Combe Sambine.
In May it is possible to carry out this stage by a variant avoiding the remains of snow of the forest of Risoux.

6 Day: Le Manon-Giron
With this stage, we taste the Jura "pure raw milk" with its high coombs, its pre-woods, its passages in pastures (single track). For sure, one of the most beautiful stages of the week. A mid-stage variant provides access to the heights of La Pesse via the Borne au Lion, a magnificent and renowned historic site, before beginning the descent to the village of Giron
